Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery
How would your customers react if you were unable to serve them for a day or longer?
It’s not just about downtime, it’s also about your brand
IS YOUR BUSINESS PREPARED FOR EVERY SCENARIO?
Human-error, Cyber Security incidents and hardware failure account for 93% of business outages longer than 1 day.
Resilience in the face of Disaster
Business interruptions happen. It's how you respond that matters to your customers and to your bottom line.
We can help you build a Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity system that enables you to quickly pivot and keep running even when disruptions happen.
Disasters take many forms
Not every disaster is broadcast on news and weather channels. Most IT downtime is a result of common, accidental (or malicious) data deletion, damage to computer hardware, or poor security habits.
A ransomware attack or virus can halt operations just as easily as a fire or a power surge.
Having technology in place that allows your business to continue operations following these disasters is equally, if not more important than protecting against a earthquake that may or may not strike your business.
Downtime is expensive
Downtime is expensive both financially and on your brand. Depending on the size of your business, research suggests that Small Businesses could lose between $55,000 and $400,000 in 1 day outage (paying idle employees, overtime to make up lost productivity, lost revenue/opportunities, and loss of customer goodwill), while larger businesses stand to lose much more.
Downtime is unavoidable, no company is immune to disaster, and it’s clear that the cost of downtime is far too substantial to ignore.
Having the ability to quickly resume operations in the event of a disaster is critical to your business.
Backup is not enough
Outdated or manually-driven backup processes may achieve the goal of backing up data in one sense, but typically these backup processes are susceptible to tampering/deletion/Ransomware, fail to meet Recovery Time Objectives (RTO), result in large windows of data loss (RPO), and more often than not fail to work as expected in a disaster.
Traditional backup solutions designed 40 years ago were created to solve the problems of 40 years ago.
Having the ability to automate backups, verify their integrity and rapidly recover complex technology from modern disasters including Ransomware requires a modern solution.

Flexible Options to Meet Your Requirements
Choosing the right solution depends on knowing your requirements.
Recovery Time Objective (RTO)
How much would it cost your business if you were offline for 3 hours? A day? More than a day?
Recovery Time Objective (RTO) is how fast you hope to be able to resume operation in the event you need to utilize your Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity system.
Generally, the shorter the RTO, the higher the price of the solution.
Recovery Point Objective (RPO)
How much would it cost your business if you lost the last 3 hours worth of data or transactions? A day? More than a day?
Recovery Point Objective (RPO) is essentially how frequently backups occur, and how much data will be lost if you need to restore.
Every business has different tolerances for data loss. For example a Banking System cannot afford to lose even an hours worth of transactions.
The lower the RPO, the higher the price of the solution.
Retention Period
How far back to do you need to be able to recover data? What happens if someone deleted a file 3 months ago and you didn’t notice until now? 1 year? 7 years? More?
Retention Period is the amount of time that backup copies of your data are kept for.
The longer the Retention Period, the more storage is required to store backups. Thus the longer the Retention Period the higher the price of the solution.
